Position: LEGAL ASSISTANT
Gender: Female

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, resilient, and highly skilled Legal Assistant with solid practical and well grounded experience in civil and criminal litigation, strong mediation abilities, and exceptional legal drafting competence. The ideal candidate must be confident, articulate, and capable of handling complex legal matters with precision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Litigation Management:
  • Handle and assist in both civil and criminal litigation matters.
  • Prepare case strategies, draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and monitor case progress effectively.
  • Mediation & Settlement:
  • Demonstrate confidence and practical expertise in functioning as a mediator/settlor in disputes.
  • Facilitate negotiations and achieve amicable settlements wherever possible.
  • Communication & Representation:
  • Represent the company at police stations, government authorities, quasi-judicial bodies, and other regulatory offices.
  • Communicate legal positions clearly and confidently to stakeholders.
  • Legal Drafting & Documentation:
  • Draft, vet, and finalize contracts, agreements, notices, deeds, and all forms of legal correspondence.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal standards.
  • Research & Interpretation:
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, precedents, and jurisprudential principles.
  • Provide practical, well-reasoned legal interpretations and advice.
  • Client Handling:
  • Manage clients and internal stakeholders effectively, even in sensitive or adverse situations.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships and uphold confidentiality.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making:
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Resolve issues efficiently under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; higher qualifications are an added advantage.
  • 2-4 years of grounded, practical litigation experience (civil and criminal).
  • Strong understanding of jurisprudence, statutory interpretation, and legal practicability.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks professionally.
  • High level of academic competence, integrity, and discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confidence and professionalism in dealing with police, government bodies, and clients.
