Lead Supplier Development

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess potential suppliers against the company's criteria for quality, cost, delivery, and risk. Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality systems, and compliance with industry and company standards. Candidate must have experience in Cable, Harness and component manufacturing (injection moulding) industry. Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and implement improvement measures. Work with suppliers to enhance their processes and capabilities. Follow up for closure of non-conformities and update the status to SQA and Purchase team. Collaborate with various departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality, to address supplier-related issues. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with suppliers. REQUIRED SKILLS: Well versed with cable industry and its manufacturing and testing process/method. Good knowledge of QMS / EMS / OSHAS / TS 16949 and should be certified Internal / LEAD Auditor Good knowledge of PPAP / FMEA / 8D / lean concept / 5S / SPC. Good knowledge of Measuring instruments both Mechanical and Electrical. Travel may be required to meet with customers, attend industry events, visit operational sites. Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial or leadership role. QUALIFICATIONS: BE (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics) with minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Cable / Electrical field / plastic Molding & component manufacturing industry A minimum of 8-12 years of progressive leadership experience in supplier development within the Cable, Harness, Component manufacturing (injection moulding) and automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures
