Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Django/Django REST Framework.
Own backend architecture, database design, and drive performance optimization.
Mentor and upskill junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical sessions.
Collaborate with frontend teams (Next.js/React.js) to deliver integrated features.
Implement secure authentication, caching, and efficient data handling techniques.
Integrate external APIs (payments, messaging, etc.) and internal AI-driven modules.
Contribute to DevOps and deployment pipelines on AWS or equivalent environments.
Actively participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and brainstorming for new features.

Required Skills

5–8 years of practical experience with Django/Django REST Framework.
Strong command of Python and SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including use of ORMs.
In-depth understanding of API design, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and application security.
Skilled in using AWS/cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
Proven track record of mentoring and technically leading a team of developers.

Preferred

Experience with Next.js/React.js integration or full-stack roles.
Familiarity with Celery, Redis, or asynchronous task queues.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker), microservices architecture, and scalable cloud deployments.
Exposure to AI/ML API integration (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini) or SaaS multi-tenant systems.
Interest or experience in clean architecture and test-driven development (TDD).

Eligibility: Only candidates with prior startup experience will be considered.
