Lead Software Engineer - C++ (Embedded)

Job Description – Lead Software Engineer (C++ / Embedded) Position: Lead Software Engineer – C++ (Embedded) Experience: 7+ years Domain: Medical Devices / Embedded Systems Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in C++ and embedded systems to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions for medical devices. The role involves driving both high-level and low-level design, implementation, testing, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded software features and solutions. Perform bug-fixing and enhancements adhering to coding standards and quality guidelines. Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to validate customer requirements. Conduct code reviews, provide technical documentation inputs (requirements, design, test specifications), and ensure compliance with organizational quality processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions integrate effectively with control systems. Ensure software delivery aligns with regulatory, safety, and quality standards in the medical device domain. Desired Experience & Skills7+ years of hands-on development experience, highly proficient in C/C++ programming. At least 5 years of embedded software development experience in the medical devices domain. Strong working experience with C# in addition to C/C++. Expertise in object-oriented design and implementation across PC and embedded platforms. Experience with control systems (medical or industrial) and state machine-based implementations. Proficiency with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks (preferred), QNX, or others. Experience using modeling tools such as Rhapsody. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of DICOM standards and familiarity with medical domain regulations is a strong plus.
