As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our products core services. You will work closely with development teams to automate infrastructure tasks, monitor system health, and respond to incidents. You will also be involved in capacity planning, performance tuning, and the development of new tools and features that improve the reliability of our systems. Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python , Bash) and experience with programming in at least one general-purpose language (e.g., Go, Java). Experience with various cloud platform - AWS virtualization, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes ). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and logging systems. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and Alerting: Setting up and maintaining monitoring systems to track performance metrics, detect anomalies, and trigger alerts when issues arise. Incident Response: Investigating and resolving incidents, including performing post-incident reviews to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Capacity Planning: Analyzing usage patterns, predicting future demand, and ensuring infrastructure can scale to meet needs. Automation: Developing and implementing automated solutions for routine tasks, such as deployment, monitoring, and incident response. Performance Tuning: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure. Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Agreements (SLAs): Collaborating with product and engineering teams to define and track SLOs and SLAs. Collaboration: Working closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth software delivery and infrastructure management. Change Management: Participating in change management processes to ensure minimal disruption during deployments and upgrades. Problem Identification and Resolution: Identifying and resolving issues related to system availability, performance, latency, and efficiency. Code Contribution: Contributing to the development and maintenance of tools and infrastructure that support the reliability of the product. Resiliency Design: Designing and implementing resilient systems that can withstand failures and continue to operate under load.
