Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at our company, your role will involve designing, building, and testing electromechanical components. You will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization, including conceptualization, design, CAD modelling, development, and testing/validation. Using CAD software such as Creo and SolidWorks, you will develop basic 3D models and drawings. Your responsibilities will also include designing components using various materials like metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring documentation adheres to SEMI standards and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). - Conducting detailed analyses such as structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal analysis, stress analysis, vibrations analysis, fluid and gas flow dynamics analysis, and manufacturability assessment to accurately specify designs. - Developing and conducting feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance. - Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturing solutions are of high quality, cost-effective, and meet requirements. - Delivering key documents including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations. - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Additionally, you will have leadership and training responsibilities where you will: - Lead the technical team in mechanical design projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to timelines. - Train and develop junior engineers to enhance their skills in design, analysis, and industry best practices. - Organize workshops or training sessions to promote continuous learning within the team. - Encourage innovation and foster collaboration within the engineering team to achieve project goals. - Serve as a point of escalation for technical challenges, providing solutions and strategies to overcome obstacles.
