Lead Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electromechanical components. You will support the full lifecycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, from concept to productization. This includes tasks such as conceptualization, design, CAD modeling, development, and testing/validation. In your role, you will utilize CAD, Creo, and Solid work software to develop basic 3D models and drawings. Your responsibilities will also include designing components using various materials such as metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings. You will ensure that documentation adheres to SEMI standards and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Additionally, you will conduct detailed analyses, including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid and gas flow dynamics, and manufacturability to accurately specify designs. As part of your role, you will develop and conduct feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance. You will be required to prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation during design reviews. Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturing solutions are of high quality, cost-effective, and compliant with requirements will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. In terms of leadership and training responsibilities, you will lead the technical team in mechanical design projects, ensuring an efficient workflow and adherence to timelines. You will play a crucial role in training and developing junior engineers to enhance their skills in design, analysis, and industry best practices. Organizing workshops or training sessions to promote continuous learning within the team and encouraging innovation and collaboration to achieve project goals will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will serve as a point of escalation for technical challenges, providing solutions and strategies to overcome obstacles. Your role will involve delivering key documents such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations. Additionally, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers will be an essential aspect of your responsibilities.,
