Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead, Record to Report (RTR) to join our growing finance team. The Lead RTR will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all general ledger activities, financial reporting, and the month-end close process. This role requires strong accounting acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous process improvement within the RTR function. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a team, collaborating with various stakeholders, and driving efficiencies in financial operations.
* General Ledger & Month-End Close
* Lead and manage the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules prepared by the RTR team.
* Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
* Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analysis.
* Financial Reporting & Compliance:
* Prepare and review internal financial reports, providing insights and explanations for management.
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls
* Assist with external audit requirements, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Team Leadership & Development:
* Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of RTR accountants, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
* Process Improvement & Automation:
* Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and drive initiatives to streamline RTR operations.
* Lead or participate in projects related to ERP system enhancements (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics365, Workday Financials) and automation tools.
* Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Collaborate effectively with other finance teams (e.g., P2P, O2C, FP&A), treasury, tax, and business units.
* Respond to financial inquiries from various departments and provide accurate information.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 5+ Years relevant R2R exp required
* Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
* Knowledge of financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, BlackLine, Cadency) preferred.
* Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles.
* Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Change management mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
