Lead Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer Lead at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through test automation and software quality assurance. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and driving test automation and software QA for various components. - Assisting with manual testing for components that are not easily automated. - Collaborating with software developers to understand the software and propose a suitable QA plan. - Adding testing infrastructure support for unit test/isolation, limited logging, and selective testing. - Participating in cross-functional project teams with scientists, software quality experts, technical support personnel, and other engineers. - Adhering to software development and source control processes. To excel in this role, you must have the following qualifications: - Total of 8+ years of experience in the IT industry. - 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing and QA. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QA hands-on Lead or QA hands-on Architect. - Strong coding experience using Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit. - Proficiency in preparing and executing Test Scripts for Functional and Non-Functional Testing. - Experience with API automation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or SoapUI. - Ability to develop Automation Frameworks from scratch. - Familiarity with BDD using Cucumber, TDD, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), and code repositories like GitHub. - Experience working in Agile SCRUM teams, collaborating with product owners, and documenting software issues and enhancement requests. - Capability to convert manual regression scenarios into automated test cases. - Proficiency in writing SQL database queries and working in Agile Software Development environments. - Exceptional defect analysis and triaging skills, along with strong communication abilities. Nice to have qualifications include experience in SQL Joins and DB Testing, knowledge of mocking or virtualization tool sets, familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6, and experience with tools like TOSCA, Q-test, or Azure Test Plans.
