JOB TITLE: LEAD PROPOSAL ENGINEER -SPP & PES

Reporting To: Functional Head Proposal.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of technical response / reply to tenders, bids
• Considering criticality of enquiry - collection of minimum required data through RFQ, customer visit wherever required prior to submitting offers.
• Finalizing basic engineering specs, checking impact of integration on remaining system.
• Preparation of presale stage P & I Diagrams
• Participating in techno-commercial discussions with client along with Sales team.
• Interaction with Sales team, Customer and internal departments for sorting out technical clarifications
• Floating enquiries to suppliers for necessary offer backups & validating vendor offers
• Optimum Costing for offered system with backups & executed orders. Subsequent Techno-commercial offer with scope in line with P&ID.
• Participating Order Transfer Meetings (OTM) with all the stake holders. Providing necessary calculation & offer backups, vendor offerings & any co-ordination with sales during engineering order execution.
• Customer approvals like alternative makes / addition / deletion of scope / any change which will call for change of delivery or Cost

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB:

FUNCTIONAL:

• Knowledge of Boiler, Turbine, Fuel handling system, Ash handling system, Piping, Water Treatment plant & Cooling water system
• Selection of Boiler & Turbine auxiliaries and preparation of Heat & Mass balance diagram based on client requirement.
• Review of consultant specifications
• Review/approval of vendor offers & drawings
• Participating in techno-commercial discussions with client along with Sales team
• Estimation for EPC
