Job responsibility
Lead OSP Operations is responsible for timely & cost-effective maintenance of OSP for existing own built routes.
Major responsibilities include:
- Oversee the daily activities of the OSP team, including scheduling, workload distribution, and performance management.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure the team is up to date on industry best practices, safety standards, and new technologies.
- Responsible for the day-to-day performance, maintenance, and repair of the entire OSP network.
- Implement and monitor reporting methods for internal teams and external contractors to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to ensure network integrity and minimize downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and a deep understanding of fiber optic principles.
- Manage and respond to network incidents, including emergency restoration and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to plan, design, and execute network expansion and upgrade projects.
- Oversee all phases of OSP construction, including site surveys, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, and quality assurance.
- Ensure all projects are built according to approved designs, company standards, and municipal requirements.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Lead the creation and management of RFPs, contracts, and bids for construction vendors.
- Ensure all network documentation, including "as-built" drawings, network maps, and asset records, are accurate and up to date in our GIS database.
- Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Manage and audit purchase orders, work orders, and invoices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering and construction standards based on lessons learned and industry developments.
The aspirant of this role must have in-depth understanding of OSP (outside plant) construction, maintenance, and operations techniques.

Skills
- Over 15 years of experience in OSP construction & maintenance
- Strong understanding of project management, customer service, and technical knowledge of connectivity products and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to generate insightful MIS reports and forecasts.
- Experience in creating and managing complex dashboards for senior management.
- Demonstrated ability in cross-functional stakeholder management.
Working experience with prominent telecom operators for OSP Delivery, Design and Operations Qualification
PGDM/B. E. /B. Tech (Telecom / Communication / Instrumental) Overall Work Experience
Over 12-15 years of experience in OSP construction & maintenance Behavioural Attributes
