Job Job TitleLead-Marketing Job CategoryWatches & Wearables-Marketing DepartmentMarketing-Sonata LocationBengaluru, Karnataka, India Job Details To lead the development and management of the product portfolio of the appropriate brand, define the positioning of the brand with the target customers and develop marketing strategy to increase the brand awareness and value among the target customers. Process Contribution Marketing Strategy development Provide inputs in the development of mid to long term strategy, and develop the business road map the business division based on the opportunities identified based on market, consumer research aligned with the envisaged vision of the organization. Review and approve the annual operating budget, case mix, revenue, with the consolidated marketing calendar (product and brand calendar) encompassing the product & brand plan aligned to the envisaged business strategy based on the market, consumer and previous trends. Present the plan to the top management and amend the budget, target and plan based on the recommendations and garner required approvals. Marketing Product Management New Product Development Review the product brief and the concept developed by the design team to ensure alignment with the business requirements. Finalize on the design concept, evaluate the technical design and RPT for its alignment to the product brief provide required approvals . Lead the briefing of the product to the NPD team to anchor the creation of the prototype and determine insourcing & outsourcing decisions. Oversee the prototype development, review & monitor the prototype development at each stage and finalize on the prototype. Marketing Product Management Pricing & inventory management for new products; Finalize on the order quantity based on the identified channels for distribution and no. of SKUs for each channel identified. Finalize on the pricing / garner approvals in case of deviations for the developed product post the mass production based on the target consumer segment, competitor analysis and margin requirements. Marketing Product Management Go to Market Strategy Finalize the Go to Market plan viz. branding, naming, collaterals, packages, etc. of the developed product and ensure its executed as per the strategy. Ensure the development of the visual merchandising products in liaison with the visual merchandising team aligned to the brand plan and provide recommendations andrequired approvals at various stages of visual merchandising. Marketing Product Management New Product Development (Wearables and Pads) Provide the recommendations / brief to the wearables and pads team based on the market insights for the creation of the products as per the identified opportunity. Evaluate the product orthe UI/ UX of the for the finalization of the application for the developed product. Marketing Product Management Portfolio Management Optimize the inventory based on the performance of the products (newly introduced and the existing product) portfolio. Finalize the products basis the product performance analysis for incremental product improvements and killing of poor performing SKUs. Undertake periodic modifications in the price of the products basis the market analysis, competitor analysis, inflation, product performance and business requirements. Develop the activation pricing mechanism in liaison with the sales team for the portfolio basis the product performance and business environment and garner the required approvals. Finalize the inventory plan for various products and sign off of on the production plan aligned to the product calendar and business requirements. Ensure that the inventory is available at the right time in the various channels as per the plan and undertake appropriate actions. Marketing Brand Management Branding and Digital Marketing plan Define on the positioning of the brand basis market trends, consumer insights to ensure its alignment with the business context. Review the marketing brief and lead the discussion on the branding brief of the new product / campaigns to the vendors (creative, media, digital, etc.). Evaluate the plans presented by the vendors, provide recommendations and provide requisite approvals to finalize the branding plan. Allocate the budget to the developed brand plan to ensure the its alignment with the envisaged brand positioning. Marketing Brand Management Performance Monitoring Monitor the performance of the branding initiatives / campaigns periodically and recommend necessary course corrections if mandated. Review the evaluation of the vendors / agencies basis their performance and recommend appropriate actions. Marketing Vendor Identification and management Finalize on the identified vendors basis their offerings, capabilities to partner with the firm. Negotiate on with the vendors on the rates within the recommended price range & empanel the vendors as per the recommended guidelines. Periodically evaluate the vendor on the performance against the agreed statement of work for and determine contract renewal / continuation decisions. Marketing People Management Identify training needs for the team and follow-up with the corporate training team to ensure delivery. Monitor and review performance parameters of the team and provide feedback on frequent basis to the team members. Provide subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles. Ensure periodic follow-up with the recruitment team to fill the vacant positions with in stipulated time; in case of deviations escalate it to appropriate authority.
