Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach Store Managers and Area Managers on people decisions, leadership effectiveness, and team development

2. Talent & Workforce Management

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely hiring of Store Managers, Optometrists, and frontline staff
  • Support internal promotions, succession planning, and readiness of high-potential retail talent

3. Performance & Capability Enablement

  • Enable effective goal setting, performance reviews, and differentiation in retail teams
  • Partner with Academy teams to drive training adoption, certification completion, and on-the-job capability building
  • Support implementation of new roles, productivity benchmarks, and store capability frameworks

4. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Drive engagement initiatives tailored to frontline retail employees in South India
  • Analyse attrition data, identify hotspots, and work with business leaders on retention action plans
  • Be a strong employee advocate while balancing business realities

5. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle employee relations matters including discipline, grievances, and investigations in retail stores
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, statutory requirements, and internal HR policies
  • Partner with central HR teams on audits, governance, and risk mitigation

6. Change & Culture

  • Support rollout of central HR programs, policies, and change initiatives at the store level
  • Act as a culture carrier of Lenskart values across stores and people managers
  • Enable smooth transitions during expansions, restructures, or leadership changes

Desired Profile:

  • Prior experience supporting multi-location / multi-state operations is strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Deep understanding of frontline workforce challenges and retail HR dynamics
  • Ability to influence without authority and partner with strong business leaders
  • High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and bias for action
