Lead Fabrication Cell - Production & Planning control

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production & Planning Lead with strong expertise in SAP (PP/MM modules) to oversee and optimize end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and material management. This role requires leadership in driving production efficiency, ensuring timely order execution, and leveraging SAP for seamless integration of planning and execution across plants.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Planning: -

• Lead the production planning process, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and scheduling to achieve the OTDIF.
• Develop and monitor monthly, weekly, and daily production plans aligned with sales demand and business priorities.
• Track production performance against plan and take corrective actions to achieve targets for Inhouse & Group company business with safety measure
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower for PA & CA, machines, and materials.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality teams to resolve production bottlenecks.

SAP (Production Planning & Execution):

• Manage SAP PP module for production planning, BOM checking (Bill of Material), routing, and shop-floor control.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates of BOM, material masters, and production orders in SAP.
• Analyze SAP data for capacity utilization, material requirements, and production variances.
• Provide SAP training/support to production teams & set the SOP
• Follow up with IT/SAP teams to drive enhancements, resolve issues, and implement best practices.

Material & Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and production continuity for Production define location age wise.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.
• Prevent excess/obsolete stock through demand-driven planning.

Leadership & Coordination:

• Lead the Production & Planning team, providing guidance, performance monitoring, and skill development. In Laser cutting & bending machine knowledge
• Act as a bridge between Internal Group company, Procurement, Production, Store, and PPC teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive process improvements, digital tools adoption, and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies: -

• Strong expertise in SAP PP/MM modules (Movement as per SOP, master data, troubleshooting, reporting).
• Hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor management.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and capacity planning.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience: -

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering (or related field).
• 1012 years of experience in Production & Planning, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in SAP PP/MM application and daily operations.
• Experience in manufacturing industry (Pharma equipment, SS parts Manufacturing, or similar preferred).
