Lead Engineer Process Gas Compressor Systems

Main responsibilities:

For the defined field of expertise, the role includes specifically:

• In general, the provision (i.e. creation and maintenance) of any knowledge objects on the
  subject such as white books, specification or drawings templates, supplier requirement records
  etc. as defined within the Knowledge management (KM) process in close collaboration with the
  CoCe Processgas Compressors.
  
  
  


• Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of global Engineering Standards,
  maintaining them readily usable for tendering and project execution under the engineering
  change management process
  


• Define with Product Manager project proposal for IRT


• Participation in BC innovation process e.g. new applications and work as expert in
  development projects
  


• Presentation of engineering solutions internally and externally


• The review of plant layouts, especially first-offs where no generic template is available


• The definition of supplier requirements in collaboration with the Category Management of
  strategic procurement
  


• Provide consulting to Sales Application Engineers for critical quotes and first of its kind
  applications during tender respectively execution phase.
  


• Support Project Engineers in application of these standards and tools for planning and
  calculation of systems and accessories execution phase and provide 3rd level technical
  support for system related topics
  
  


• Encourage exchange between PL20 and PL2 system solutions and expert teams.


• Structured management of the related engineering know-how through the mentorship of the
  related competence centers including documentation and training
  


• Knowledge of standards and Norms and the impact to our system - creation of deviation and
  cost impact to our system
  


• Supports more complex tasks out of the regular tasks of Sales and Project Support (SPS) as
  defined for PEO in ABL 2077546.
  


• Any application where the BC PL2 or BCS PL20 compressors are being used


• Close interaction with all BC regions, especially
  EMEA for PL2 process gas compressor systems
  BCIN for domestic and export applications of PL2 process gas compressor systems
  SYCC for domestic and export applications of BCS process gas compressor system
  
  
  

Education / Experience:

• Masters or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent
  education.
  


• At least 7-10 years experience in similar business.


• Knowledge of rotating equipment and/or related processes across a range of applications.
