Lead Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, ensuring efficient delivery of data solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices in data engineering, including data quality, data governance, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows using modern tools and frameworks. • Work extensively with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR) for data storage, processing, and orchestration.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Python and Scala.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage data warehousing solutions.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert-level coding skills in Python and Scala.
• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and leading data teams.
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services for data management and analytics.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and query optimization.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
