Lead Buyer - Indirect Sourcing

You'll play a pivotal role in sourcing and coordinating high-value purchases of industrial equipment for our India sites and export projects. Day-to-day, youll work closely with project teams, site directors, and central sourcing managers, ensuring seamless procurement processes, and much more.

Youll specifically take care of sourcing industrial equipment, such as lifting equipment, fabrication tooling, jigs and fixtures, and test benches, but also manage supplier relationships and contribute to continuous process improvements.

• Leading sourcing activities for mechanical machinery, plant equipment, and other CAPEX-related procurements.
• Developing and managing supplier relationships to ensure delivery commitments and process improvements.
• Optimizing total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing, demand management, and negotiation.
• Managing RFQ processes, supplier selection, and contract management in compliance with company policies.
• Encouraging the use of e-sourcing tools, including e-RFx, e-Auctions, and e-Contract Management.
• Analyzing risks and implementing mitigation plans for sourcing tasks.
• Aligning and reporting on activities for high-value purchases exceeding 100K.
• Driving continuous improvement in P2P processes, sourcing, and contracting efficiencies.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering from a premium institute (MBA or equivalent preferred).
• 8+ years of sourcing experience, preferably in ITES sector companies.
• Expertise in sourcing industrial equipment, including lifting equipment, fabrication tooling, and test benches.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with sourcing levers, cost breakdown, and total cost of ownership (TCO) principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office tools.
• Ability to thrive in an international, cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and supplier performance evaluation processes.
