Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Backend Developer to join our development team at Infopark, Kochi. In this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, guiding the backend team, driving technical decisions, and ensuring smooth project execution. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our healthcare applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will also mentor junior developers and take ownership of backend architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend systems using Java (preferably Java 8+).
• Build scalable APIs and services that integrate with frontend and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Follow Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
• Document technical specifications, workflows, and development processes.
• Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions where required.

Required Skills

• M.Tech or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
• Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of Hibernate, SQL, and Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of performance tuning, memory management, and multithreading.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and error handling mechanisms.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or SaaS-based domains.
• Familiarity with FHIR standards, ABDM, or NHCX is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
