Job Description

Familiaritywith regulations and industry codes and standards affecting all architectural workwithin department
Assesstraining needs of subordinates to upgrade their engineering skill
Reviewperformance of subordinates identify their strengths and weaknesses andsuggest measures of improvement
Reviewall drawings and other deliverables
Preparationof man-hour estimate and trend
Ensurecorrectness and quality of design, drawings, SOQ and MTO prepared bysubordinates
Planningof weekly work of the area pertaining to project and scope of work
Progressreporting and adherence to engineering schedule pertaining to the project
Optimizeresource utilisation
Assistingin standardization / developmental activities
Qualityassurance Adhere to QMS norms / maintain required documents forproject scope of work
Checkingand issue of IFC drawings pertaining to project
Maintenanceof record prints, check prints, commented prints anddrawings / checklists.

Education Requirement

Necessary

Architecture Degree fromaccredited college or university

Experience Requirement

10 years minimum experience of which at least 5 years of experience working on industrial architecture
The years of experience should be in line with discipline work for various sized projects
Experience of working on office interiors desirable
Some site experience required

Skills Competencies

Knowledge of Indian as well as other internationalcode of practices for industrial and institutional buildings
Knowledge of development control rules and generalbuilding requirements
Knowledge of fire and life safety
Understands development of key discipline deliverables
Knows how to coordinate technical issues with otherdepartments and facilitate appropriate technical decisions
Contribution for formulation of design guides standards
Can interpret scope of work and can prepare man-hourestimation
Understands interdisciplinary interface issues
Knowledge of QMS
Good communication presentation skills
Captures reviews lessons learnt database
Review define scope changes as required
Ability to negotiate effectively with internal andexternal clients
Leads the work effort by defining the tasks andparticipating in their execution
Knowledge of innovative design leading to valueengineered product without compromising quality and aesthetics
Knowledge of landscape architecture is desired
