Job description: Data Engineer Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore About The Gig We’re on the lookout for a Data Engineer who loves building scalable data pipelines and can dance with Kafka and Flink like they’re on their playlist. If Spark is your old buddy, even better—but it’s not a deal-breaker. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink. Ensure high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant data ingestion for telemetry, analytics, and system monitoring. Work closely with backend and product teams to define event contracts and data models. Maintain schema consistency and versioning across high-volume event streams. Optimize Flink jobs for memory, throughput, and latency. If you know a little Spark, help out with batch processing and offline analytics too (we won’t complain) Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability for everything that flows through your pipelines. What You Bring 3+ years of experience as a data/backend engineer working with real-time or streaming systems. Hands-on experience with Kafka (topics, partitions, consumers, etc.). Experience writing production-grade Flink jobs (DataStream API preferred). Good fundamentals in distributed systems, partitioning strategies, and stateful processing. Comfortable with any one programming language – Java, Scala, or Python. Basic working knowledge of Spark is a plus (optional, but nice to have).
