Location: Hyderabad, India Organisation: South Australian College of English (SACE) - Hyderabad Franchise Position Overview: The Senior Student Counsellor will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective and current students through their learning and career pathways at SACE Hyderabad. The role involves providing expert counselling for IELTS, PTE, and English language programs, supporting students with admissions, and fostering positive relationships to enhance enrolment growth. The successful candidate will combine strong interpersonal skills with a deep understanding of international education pathways, ensuring students achieve their academic and migration goals while upholding the high standards of the SACE brand. Key Responsibilities: Student Counselling & Admissions: • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to prospective students regarding IELTS, PTE, and English programs. • Guide students on course selection based on their academic, professional, and migration objectives. • Assist students with registration, documentation, and orientation processes. • Counsel students on study abroad opportunities, pathways, and eligibility requirements in coordination with SACE HQ. Enrolment & Conversion: • Convert student inquiries into confirmed enrolments through effective counselling and follow-up. • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective students through timely communication (phone, email, in-person, digital platforms). • Ensure enrolment targets are consistently achieved and reported. • Track and update student inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM/Student Management System. Liaison & Coordination: • Work closely with the Centre Manager, academic team, and marketing staff to deliver a seamless student experience. • Liaise with education agents, schools, colleges, and universities to generate referrals and build strong networks. • Coordinate mock test schedules, workshops, and student information sessions. Student Support & Retention: • Provide ongoing support to enrolled students, addressing academic and personal concerns. • Monitor student progress and collaborate with trainers to ensure positive outcomes. • Organise orientation programs, parent sessions, and academic counselling initiatives. • Ensure high levels of student satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement. Compliance & Reporting: • Ensure adherence to SACE policies, academic standards, and franchise compliance requirements. • Maintain accurate student records, reports, and documentation. • Prepare regular reports on admissions, student progress, and counselling activities for management review. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in student counselling within the IELTS/PTE, English coaching, or international education sector. • Strong knowledge of IELTS and PTE exam formats and study abroad pathways. • Proven track record of achieving enrolment and conversion targets. • Experience working with education franchises or international institutes is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies: • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong counselling and persuasion abilities. • Customer-focused with empathy and cultural sensitivity. • Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of inquiries. • Proficiency in MS Office and student management/CRM systems. • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
