Lab Technician

Job Title: Refractory Lab Technician

Experience: 3 - 4 years

Location: Champa, Chhattisgarh

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of incoming raw materials (minerals, refractory, insulation) as per defined quality standards.
• Perform physical and mechanical property tests on refractory products, including density, porosity, compressive strength, flexural strength, etc.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure calibration of laboratory equipment, including:
• Hot Air Oven – for drying and moisture content testing.
• Muffle Furnace – for high-temperature testing and sample preparation.
• Digital Weighing Balance – for precise measurement of samples.
• Flexural Testing Machine – for bending strength testing.
• CTM (Compression Testing Machine) – Digital Hand Operated – for compressive strength tests.
• Force Measuring Device – for recording load and stress parameters.
• Prepare, cut, and condition refractory samples as per IS/ASTM/ISO standard test procedures.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately; prepare test certificates, data sheets, and detailed reports.
• Support R&D, production, and quality teams with reliable technical data for product and process improvements.
• Maintain laboratory documentation as per ISO/Quality Management guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI / B.Sc. in Chemistry, Ceramic, Refractory, Materials Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience is desidered in refractory/materials testing.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory instruments, testing standards, and procedures.
• Ability to prepare accurate and professional test reports (MS Excel/Word proficiency).
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and safety-conscious.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
