Lab Assistant

Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Science Lab Assistant to support our science department in delivering high-quality, hands-on learning experiences to students. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, maintenance, and safe operation of laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring a conducive environment for practical learning. Key Responsibilities Lab Preparation & Setup : Prepare and organize materials, chemicals, and equipment for science experiments and practical sessions.foundit.in Safety & Compliance : Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.cbseguess.com Equipment Maintenance : Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Inventory Management : Monitor stock levels of lab supplies, reorder materials as necessary, and maintain accurate inventory records. Assistance During Practical Sessions : Support teachers and students during experiments, providing guidance on equipment usage and safety procedures. Record Keeping : Maintain detailed logs of experiments, equipment maintenance, and inventory transactions. Administrative Support : Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and other administrative tasks as required by the science department. Qualifications & Skills Educational Background : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (B.Sc/M.Sc) with a specialization in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. Experience : Prior experience in a school laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in laboratory work are encouraged to apply. Technical Skills : Familiarity with laboratory equipment and basic maintenance procedures. Safety Knowledge : Understanding of safety protocols related to chemical and biological materials. Communication Skills : Ability to effectively communicate with students and staff. Organizational Skills : Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
