Role Overview:
The Senior Manager Learning & Development will be responsible for designing and executing learning strategies, leadership development, and capability-building programs aligned with business goals. A key focus will be driving performance through learning interventions tailored to the dynamic retail environment within the interior solutions space.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement L&D strategy aligned with business objectives and organizational growth.
Design and deliver training programs (classroom, virtual, on-the-job) across functional, behavioral, and leadership domains.
Collaborate with retail operations, sales, and design teams to identify skill gaps and build effective upskilling programs.
Drive onboarding, product knowledge training, and customer experience modules for frontline staff.
Build frameworks for assessing learning impact and ROI.
Partner with external vendors, consultants, and content providers to deliver best-in-class learning experiences.
Foster a learning culture across corporate and retail functions.
Lead talent development initiatives, including high-potential programs, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
Manage learning platforms, LMS administration, and digital learning solutions.
Monitor training budgets and report on training effectiveness to leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Education, or related fields.
7-9 years of experience in L&D, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Strong exposure to the retail industry, ideally in roles focused on frontline workforce training.
Experience in the interior design, home improvement, or lifestyle retail sectors will be an advantage.
Hands-on experience in designing content, facilitation, and using LMS/e-learning tools.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional learning projects and manage senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, communication, and people management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Agile mindset with a focus on innovation and learner-centric approaches.
Experience with digital L&D platforms.
