Kitchen Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our South Indian kitchen. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of South Indian cooking methods and ingredients, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service. Ensure authentic preparation and presentation of South Indian dishes (e.g., dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, various chutneys, and regional specialties). Monitor food quality, consistency, and portion control. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory, stock levels, and order supplies as needed. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, hygiene, and safety standards. Plan prep schedules, allocate daily tasks, and ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen. Work closely with the restaurant manager and service staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance when necessary. Handle kitchen staff attendance, discipline, and performance feedback. Requirements:Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor or senior cook in a South Indian kitchen. Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques. Ability to manage a team and work under pressure during busy service hours. Good organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI or equivalent certification is a plus). Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive kitchen environment. Preferred Qualifications:
