Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Engineer to be based in Mumbai/Vadodara office, who will have around 9+ years relevant Pipeline Design Detail Engineering experience, mostly in the field of Oil Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical sector with large EPC companies or Engineering Consulting organizations. You should be effective with verbal and written communication skills.

Core Competencies:

Perform the following tasks independently / with minimum guidance:
Review Clients technical documentation and requirements.
Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute to updating Company standards.
Review the Client s technical documents during the bid phase. Prepare technical queries, Qualifications, Clarifications.
Prepare the design basis/PEP/CTRs for the pipeline design and interface with the relative process and other disciplines.
Prepare the technical specifications and data sheets for purchasing material.
Check the results of surveys carried out by sub-contractors.
Optimize the laying route. Carry out Route selection study.
Assist with the selection of laying spread/methods and perform/review installation design analysis for the pipeline system.
Perform technical bid evaluation. Oversee the bid evaluation and procurements phases.
Review the alignment sheets prepared by pipeline designers.
Verify and act upon the remarks/comments of the Client/Certifying Body.
Assist the pipeline lead or the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development and for interfacing/supporting the procurement department.
Perform/verify all discipline analyses and calculation notes required to design the pipelines system, including the engineering activities of third parties/sub-contractors.
Define standards and procedures for the relative engineering area and contribute to software evaluations.
Detailed design of onshore flowlines, trunklines, transfer lines and export pipelines.
Review Pipeline calculations, Pipeline material specifications and data sheets, Vendor TBE, Pipeline drawings, Pipeline stress analysis reports, etc.
Good knowledge of operating company specifications and international standards requirements for pipeline design.
Good knowledge of Google Earth, AutoCAD/MicroStation, Excel/Mathcad. (CAESAR II is added advantage)
Subsea and offshore pipeline design experience, exposure to construction and commissioning of pipelines would be added values.

Qualification/ Certification:

Masters/Bachelor of Engineering OR Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University

Software Tools:

Good knowledge of Google Earth, AutoCAD/MicroStation, Excel/Mathcad. (CAESAR II is added advantage).

Communication:

Effective verbal and written communication
Presentation and business communication skill
Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner
Communicate effectively with the team and with the projects team.
Attend project and team meeting

Details about the role:

Location: Mumbai
Travel required: At times for job requirements, at various other Kent offices across the globe. Also, may involve deputation to other Kent offices / Client offices on a short term or long-term basis.
