Civil Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute

  civil construction, renovation, and finishing works

  in

  school buildings, hostels, auditoriums, playgrounds, and administrative blocks

  .
• Ensure

  structural safety, durability, and aesthetic quality

  in all civil works such as RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting, and boundary wall construction.
• Supervise

  repair and maintenance of existing school infrastructure

  , including classrooms, roofs, plumbing, drainage, and pavements.
• Conduct

  periodic inspections

  to ensure work quality and adherence to approved drawings, design standards, and school-specific functional needs.
• Manage

  contractors, vendors, and site labor

  for smooth and efficient execution of daily operations.
• Prepare and review

  BOQs, cost estimates, work orders, and progress reports

  for ongoing and upcoming school projects.
• Coordinate closely with

  Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & HVAC teams

  to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with

  building codes, fire safety, child safety, and statutory requirements

  applicable to educational institutions.
• Monitor

  material procurement, storage, and usage

  , ensuring quality standards and cost efficiency.
• Maintain

  records of site inspections, checklists, material testing reports, and work completion certificates.

• Supervise

  school expansion or renovation projects

  within approved budgets and timelines.
• Report

  progress, site issues, and improvement recommendations

  to senior management on a regular basis.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:

  B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

• Experience:

  Minimum

  5 years

  in

  Civil Construction / Maintenance of Institutional or Educational Infrastructure

• Industry Preference:

  Real Estate, Construction, Educational Institutions, Facility Management
• Should have independently handled

  construction or renovation of school campuses or multi-building educational facilities.

• Strong understanding of

  classroom design, child safety norms, campus planning, and utility management.

• Proficient in

  reading structural drawings, project scheduling, vendor management, and cost control.

• Ability to

  supervise multiple school sites

  and manage maintenance teams effectively.
• Excellent

  communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Preference will be given to candidates having experience with

  CBSE / University infrastructure projects or institutional building standards.
