Junior Web Developer

The Opportunity

We are a rapidly growing company in the E-commerce/Travel Tech space, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and talented Junior Web Developer to join our development team. This role is perfect for someone early in their career who is eager to take ownership of projects, refine their skills, and contribute immediately to user-facing applications.

You will play a critical role in building new features for our e-commerce platform and enhancing our core travel booking engine, focusing on performance, user experience, and mobile responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Assist in the design and development of highly responsive user interface components for both mobile and desktop platforms.
• Feature Implementation: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code to implement new features on existing websites (e.g., product listing pages, booking forms, payment gateways).
• Maintenance & Refactoring: Support the refactoring and maintenance of existing codebases, addressing bugs, and ensuring platform stability and security.
• API Integration: Integrate front-end interfaces with back-end services and REST APIs to pull dynamic data for product inventories and booking systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Developers, UI/UX designers, and Product Managers to translate wireframes and design mock-ups into functional web applications.
• Testing: Participate in unit testing and feature testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Maximum of 3 years of professional experience in web development (including internships or relevant project work).
• Strong foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficiency with at least one modern front-end framework (preferably React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) or utility-first frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• A basic understanding of version control using Git.
• A portfolio demonstrating ability to build or modify functional websites, preferably in the e-commerce or booking domain.

Nice-to-Haves

• Knowledge of Node.js or a back-end language (Python/PHP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with database concepts (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience with deployment tools or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Vercel).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience/coding bootcamp certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
