Job Summary

SCOR Agri is one of the seven specialty teams (within SCOR P&C) with a worldwide mandate to offer (re)insurance solutions. Agri as a book has evolved over the decades and the UW team is among the most recognized and respected among the business fraternity.

The position in Mumbai aims to attract a candidate with a genuine interest in the field of agriculture / climate resilience. Some of the core qualities needed are as follows:

Required experience & competencies

• Fresher, or up to 2 years experience in the insurance sector.


• Pays attention to details and comfortable with data analysis.


• Good written and oral communication skills.


• Comfortable dealing with people.


• Eager to add to his / her knowledge.

Required Education

• University education (Agriculture or Weather Studies, Finance, Insurance).


• Insurance / Reinsurance qualifications would be a plus.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Report to and support the Head of Agri for renewal and new business, portfolio management & reporting.


• Portfolio Management


• Client Management


• Market Intelligence


• Grow SCOR s expertise and offering
  
  
  
  • Contribute to internal projects to enhance SCOR s offering (services, products).
  
  
  • Represent SCOR in working groups, conferences, associations etc.
  
  


• Comply with internal risk appetite and risk management practices
  
  
  
  • Comply with all Enterprise Risk Management rules, including Internal Control System for treaty underwriting and escalation to Head of Agri when appropriate
  
  


• Work closely with India / APAC team based in Mumbai / Singapore.
