Junior Manual Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manual Tester with 1–3 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, be capable of writing and executing test cases, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand software requirements, user stories, and technical documents.

Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data for functional and regression testing.

Log, track, and manage bugs using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.

Perform manual testing on web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.

Conduct smoke testing, integration testing, system testing, and exploratory testing.

Report defects clearly and follow through until resolution.

Work closely with developers and business analysts to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

1–3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.

Good knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestLink, TestRail).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Basic understanding of databases and ability to run simple SQL queries.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.

Exposure to API testing using Postman or similar tools (manual testing only).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

ISTQB Foundation Level certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹245,777.21 - ₹501,803.55 per year
