Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Junior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of plant machinery, utilities, and facility systems. The role involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, assisting in troubleshooting, and ensuring minimal equipment downtime to maintain efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machines, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production delays.
• Replace or repair faulty components using appropriate tools and methods.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report recurring or critical issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support operational goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
• Track spare parts and tools inventory, notifying the supervisor of replenishment needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or ITI / vocational certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade.
• Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and proper use of PPE.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance data entry and reporting.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined or elevated areas.

Preferred Skills

• Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis abilities.
• Experience in plant or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with control systems and basic PLC knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in equipment care and upkeep.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and industrial chemicals.
• May require shift work, weekend duty, or on-call support.
• Must comply with all PPE and safety requirements.

Experience

• Plant Maintenance (Electrical/Mechanical): Minimum 3 years (Preferred)
