Job Description

Position Overview

The Junior IT Administrator will be responsible for supporting the companys IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations of data center activities, managing end-user devices, and assisting in network and security administration. The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong coordination abilities, and a proactive approach to IT support.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Data Center Management

  • Assist in maintaining overall IT infrastructure, including servers, storage devices, and network

equipment.

  • Monitor data center operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of data center hardware.

Hardware Installation & Support

  • Handle installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, and servers.
  • Manage hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of all IT assets and coordinate with vendors for procurement or repairs.

Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with external vendors for IT equipment, AMC services, and hardware/software support.
  • Follow up on pending issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain documentation for all service interactions.

Laptop & Desktop Management

  • Manage end-user devices including OS installation, application setup, patch updates, and

performance tuning.

  • Maintain user profiles, system backups, and security compliance on all endpoints.

Firewall & Network Management

  • Assist in monitoring and managing firewall rules, policies, and security configurations.
  • Support network troubleshooting related to LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.

Microsoft Portal / M365 Administration

  • Assist in managing Microsoft 365 portal including user creation, license management, mail flow

configuration, and security policies.

  • Support Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint basic administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with firewalls and security practices (preferred).
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a problem-solving attitude.

Experience

  • 02 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or related role.
