Junior Designer

Job Title: Junior Designer – Façade Design Experience Required: 3 Years Department: Design Location: Mahape Reports To: Senior Designer / Project Design Team Leader Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Designer with 3 years of experience in façade design to support the execution of architectural projects. You will work closely with the senior design team to create accurate drawings and technical documents while gaining valuable industry experience. Key Responsibilities:Design and Drafting:Ø Assist in preparing shop drawings based on architectural design drawings. Ø Develop basic fabrication drawings under supervision. Ø Generate accurate material take-offs and assist with material order schedules. Ø Update and revise drawings based on senior designer or client feedback. Technical Skills:Ø Interpret architectural and structural IFC drawings and BOQs. Ø Apply knowledge of façade systems including system detailing and installation methods. Ø Support the development of design solutions in line with project specifications. Project Support:Ø Collaborate with senior designers on assigned portions of projects. Ø Participate in internal design reviews to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance. Ø Assist in documenting design changes and version control. Team Collaboration:Ø Coordinate with fellow team members for consistent output quality. Ø Take feedback constructively and work under the guidance of senior staff. Ø Maintain open communication with team leads and other departments. General Responsibilities: Ø Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks and maintain documentation standards. Ø Uphold company standards of professionalism, ethics, and technical quality. Ø Demonstrate punctuality, ownership, and a proactive work ethic. Qualifications:Ø Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field. Ø Minimum 3 years of experience in façade design or relevant drafting roles. Ø Proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit or similar design software. Ø Basic understanding of fabrication and installation processes. Ø Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately. Preferred Traits:Ø Eagerness to learn and grow in the façade design domain. Ø Good communication skills in English and local language. Ø Ability to manage time efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
