Role Summary

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer with strong abilities in SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D/3D, mechanical layouts and automation/robotics design support. The role involves modelling, drafting, BOM creation, vendor coordination and assisting in the development of precision automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create part modelling and product assemblies in SolidWorks and prepare required drawings.
• Develop 2D & 3D models, layout drawings, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
• Provide layout drawings, IGES files, STEP files and CAD models as required by vendors.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.
• Assist in selecting materials, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic components, circlips, mechanical hardware, etc.
• Support design tasks related to robotics, actuators, linear guides, SPM mechanisms, etc.
• Perform basic mechanical calculations (load, torque, fitment, alignment).
• Communicate with clients to understand customization needs and coordinate internally for solutions.
• Collaborate with production and procurement for drawing clarifications and part development.

Skills Required

• SolidWorks (parts, assembly, drafting)
• AutoCAD 2D & basic 3D
• Understanding of mechanical components and materials
• Basic sheet metal knowledge
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design
• Good communication & ability to learn quickly

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / BE / BTech – Mechanical
• 0–2 years design experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
