Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and driven Bio Medical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Rungta Hospitals!

Role & responsibilities

Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and other diagnostic or therapeutic devices.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and performance checks as per schedule.
Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, warranty claims, and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service history, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure all biomedical devices meet hospital safety and quality standards.
Assist in technical evaluation of new equipment and participate in procurement discussions.
Train hospital staff on the proper use and care of medical devices.
Ensure compliance with biomedical waste, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support during installation of new medical facilities or expansion projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Bachelors Degree in
Biomedical Engineering
or related field.
Minimum
2–5 years of experience
in hospital equipment maintenance.
Sound knowledge of hospital biomedical devices and electrical safety standards.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Ability to maintain documentation and generate technical reports.
