Job Description

Oversee Day-to-Day Pharmacy Operations – Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, and emergency pharmacy services with proper drug dispensing protocols. Manage Procurement and Inventory – Handle vendor coordination, stock management, expiry control, and ensure zero stockouts of essential medicines. Ensure Regulatory Compliance – Maintain adherence to Drug & Cosmetic Act, NABH norms, and manage documentation for audits and inspections. Lead and Train the Pharmacy Team – Supervise pharmacists and staff, ensure discipline, conduct performance reviews, and organize training sessions. Collaborate with Clinical Teams – Work closely with doctors, nurses, and departments to ensure timely availability and clarity of prescribed medications. Control Costs and Prevent Pilferage – Monitor pharmacy profitability, reduce wastage and pilferage, and ensure accurate billing of dispensed drugs. Promote Patient Safety and Quality – Implement systems to prevent medication errors, monitor high-risk drugs, and ensure proper patient counseling when needed.
