Junior Accountant Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in data management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounting Software Management: Daily entry, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial transactions using Tally Prime.
• Bookkeeping: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including recording receipts, payments, and journal entries to ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (including functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas) to prepare, analyze, and present financial data and reports.
• Financial Documentation: Assist in the preparation of standard financial statements, invoices, and other necessary documents under the guidance of a Senior Accountant.
• Communication: Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in basic English with internal teams regarding financial queries and documentation.
• Compliance Support: Help ensure all accounting practices comply with internal policies and standard accounting principles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical, hands-on experience with Tally Prime (or equivalent comprehensive accounting software).
• Accounting Knowledge: Possession of basic knowledge of Accountancy principles and practices.
• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Language Skills: Basic English speaking and writing skills are required for clear professional communication.
• Commitment: Must be looking for long-term job stability and commitment to professional growth within the company.
• Location: Must reside within a 30-45 minute commute of the workplace.
• Personal Status: Open to both Male or Female candidates (Married individuals are preferred).
