Jr. Vendor Development Engineer

Co-ordinate with all vendors and suppliers to get the parts manufactured as per the sequence of operation without affecting the quality at each stage of manufacturing. The movement of material between factory and vendors is also handled and timely manufacturing and delivering of parts to the factory stores is the main responsibility.

Role and Responsibilities

· Plan the manufacturing process sequence for each and every part and fill the Progress Chart.

· Identify at least 8 to 10 vendors for each manufacturing process and access their work quality and process understanding and grade them accordingly.

· Divide the parts to be manufactured amongst vendors based on their current load and quality requirements of the parts.

· Develop cordial relations with all vendors and ensure proper communication at all time to ensure timely deliveries and only the best quality parts.

· Source bought out parts that are sourced from local suppliers in and around Thane.

· Plan the manufacturing schedule for each and every part and prepare time sheets for each process. You should know before start of manufacturing the date for completion and back track to generate the dates of completing each process such that the target date is achieved. To record the computed dates for each process on the progress chart and later in the production management system. To further communicate the dates to corresponding vendors and ensure that the schedule is strictly followed.

· While planning the manufacturing schedule, to take into consideration the time required for material movement from one vendor to another.

· To intimate the vendors on the jobs that will be delivered for processing with the schedule for completing their work before the start of manufacturing so that they are prepared for completing their work on time.

· To consult the plant manager, design engineers and if required the CEO in case of any technical or sourcing problem that may arise from time to time.

· To carryout thorough inspection of each part for each process at the vendor end and to ensure that only the OK parts are moved to the next process and any rejections are charged to the vendors.

· To look at training needs of vendors to ensure enhancement of quality at all times.

· To handle all the parts carefully in their respective bins or in proper packaging to keep all the manufactured parts fresh and crisp.

· To drive safely and take care of the assigned 2 wheeler. To wear helmet at all times while driving the 2 wheeler and keep a check on tyre pressure, PUC and insurance.

· To keep on optimizing the production sequence, transportation methods, sequence of movement between vendors, to ensure better efficiency, faster working and least movement.

· To update status of all parts and processes in the production management system.

· Keep on finding new ways to make the quality at par with European manufacturing practices.

· Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

· Organise and solve any issues that arise to ensure a smooth efficient production is maintained.

· You will have to collaborate in other tasks and activities that will be out of your main responsibilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
