Job Summary:

Civil Engineer – Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantity Take-Offs

  : Prepare detailed quantity estimates from drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  : Prepare and review cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Rate Analysis

  : Conduct rate analysis for civil works, concrete, structural steel, and finishing items.

• Tendering & Contracts

  : Assist in preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of tenders and contracts.

• Vendor Billing

  : Check and certify contractor/vendor bills and ensure timely processing.

• Reconciliation

  : Perform material and quantity reconciliation periodically.

• Site Coordination

  : Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to track costs and work progress.

• Change Orders

  : Evaluate variation orders and claims from contractors.

• Reporting

  : Prepare MIS reports, cost reports, and project updates for management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with strong QS experience may also be considered)
• 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on

  industrial/institutional projects

• Proficient in

  AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project/Primavera

  , and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX)
• Strong knowledge of

  IS codes

  , CPWD norms, and contract management
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Experience:

• QS experience in

  factories, pharma plants, educational institutes, hospitals

  , or similar institutional/industrial construction
• Familiarity with

  local vendors and contractors in Gujarat
