Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the school’s financial operations including fee collection, expense tracking, payroll processing, statutory compliance, and preparation of financial reports. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong knowledge of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain day-to-day accounting records including receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledgers.
Monitor and manage student fee collection, issue receipts, and follow up on outstanding dues.
Prepare monthly payroll including statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
Handle vendor payments, purchase bills, and petty cash disbursements.
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and internal audits.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with all government regulations and statutory filings.
Maintain records for GST, TDS, Income Tax, and school-related financial licenses.
Assist in preparing the school’s annual budget and monitoring expenditure.
Support other departments in budget-related matters.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. (M.Com or CA Inter preferred)
Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational institution.
Proficient in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Strong understanding of statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF, ESI).
Excellent organizational and numerical skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Honest, reliable, and ethical in handling finances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
