Summary This role will be responsible to execute various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform on assigned machines. Key Responsibilities Follow all safety and compliance policies/procedures/systems of the company - (C.A.R.E – Commit, Access, Recognize, Encourage) program.Follow full compliance with food safety & quality standards & norms – HACCP, GMP & GHP.Commit, comply, support the Simplot Sustainability Strategy and work towards achieving the sustainability targets of the company.Meet daily plan within specified percent output including raw material to improve product Yield within the finish product specification. Monitor and execute that all equipment in the process section are operating to its full potential/efficiency to produce outputs with the required quantity and quality.Ensure that the equipment is cleaned & sanitized after any breakdown/once SKU’s processing is completed. To remove any balance material from the equipment area and send to store as per SOP.Collect samples and perform various testing from pre-defined inspection points. Control & manage the process parameters to achieve finish product as per required specification. If any quality issue arises, inform the Process Area Leader / Shift in Charge, and take any corrective action to achieve quality standards as instructed.Ensure the uptake of edible oil within the specification and ensure stock of edible oil as per the consumption patterns.Perform necessary pre-start up activities during plant start up and after CIP, for smooth plant start up.Prepare the batches, monitor processes related to dry ingredient blending, mixing, battering, forming, and coating and operate the equipment for speciality products as per SKU’s SOP.Control waste generated within the process area. To investigate whenever excessive waste is found & inform the Process Area Leader.Ensure that all process waste is weighed, recorded, and dumped on the daily process log sheet. Actively participate with CI team, to provide suggestions related to quality, zero defects, reduce cost and improvements in overall process.Perform QC test, monitor & note the yield loss, colour, SAPP concentration, Free Fatty Acid, texture, Sugar issues, etc as per SOPs to ensure the texture & quality of processed product. Maintain the process to achieve zero customer complaints and products specifications are within the specified targets.Perform, participate and execute all duties as assigned by the Process Area Leader for the execution of NPD trials. Perform & execute CIP (Clean in Place) for ensuring optimum quality products through completing proper clean up and sanitation tasks to meet the company regulatory standards, ensuring the product and process are both clean and sterile. Operate the CIP system to clean and sanitize all process equipment, drain, product transfer belt etc. Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing as per manufacturer instructions.Maintain the log sheets on half hourly/hourly basis or on regular intervals as per SOP in the shift for ensuring traceability.Attend the daily, weekly, and monthly production review meetings.Inform & update out-put, downtime, and quality issues to the control room.Communicate incomplete/pending process jobs to the next process operator/reliever. Active participation in different programs, trainings & initiatives taken by company from time to time. Typical Education Relevant Experience Required Certifications Must have completed ITI degree on full time basis in Mechanical/Electrical discipline from recognized academic institute which is approved by UGC or similar accreditation body Other Information Must have overall process & product quality improvement skills.Must have keen observation and troubleshooting skills related to process and supporting equipment & systems.Must have good knowledge of OEE, Yield Improvement & Process Variability.Must have exposure of automation & PLC control system.
