Established in 1976, Shrijee has supplied its equipment to more than 400 sugar factories in India and to leading sugar producers in more than 30 countries. The corporate headquarters are in Mumbai (India) and regional offices are in Delhi, Ahmednagar and Chennai. Shrijee has three fully equipped manufacturing facilities located in the western and southern parts of India. We have more than 160 people in our team, including 50 Engineers and 15 MBAs. In addition to these, at any given time, we usually have 100-200 people working on our sites in India & overseas. We are looking for a Civil Engineer for our Ahmednagar Factory. Candidate will report to the Head of the Department. Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis and design of Steel Structure and Foundation, equipment foundations, tanks, chimneys, pipe racks, and other civil works. Prepare detailed structural drawings, layout plans, reinforcement details, and bar bending schedules (BBS). Collaborate with mechanical and piping teams to accommodate equipment loads, anchoring requirements, and plant layout constraints. Ensure designs comply with relevant Indian (IS) and international codes and standards (IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, ACI, etc.). Conduct site visits to assess soil conditions, supervise construction activities, and ensure design implementation. Review of Design Parameters given by consultants and customers. Review and approve structural calculations, design reports, and construction drawings. Monitor progress of civil works and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Assist in cost estimation, material take-offs, and preparation of tender documents for civil works. 3 to 10 years of experience in structural design, preferably in the sugar, food, or process plant Proficient in structural design software like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Sound knowledge of soil-structure interaction, foundation design, and industrial building codes. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team. Supervise piping fabrication and erection at project sites, ensuring compliance with drawings and Monitor and inspect piping installation work and conduct hydrostatic/pneumatic testing. Resolve site-level issues and provide technical support during commissioning and startup. Prepare documentation for project handover, including as-built drawings and quality records. Requirements: 1. Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 2. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in piping design and installation, preferably in the sugar, food processing or heavy industrial sectors. 3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, PDMS/E3D, or similar CAD/CAE tools. 4. Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME B31.3, IS standards, and fabrication/construction practices. 5.
