Plant HeadIndustry: Crown & Pinion / Differential Gear Manufacturing1. Position OverviewThe Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing complete plant operations for Crown & Pinion and Differential Gear manufacturing.

This includes production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, manpower management, cost control, and achieving daily productivity & quality targets. The role requires strong technical knowledge of gear manufacturing processes and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams

.2. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & OperationsLead overall plant operations for Crown & Pinion and Differential Gear production.Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.Monitor machining, gear cutting, hobbing, shaving, grinding, and heat-treatment processes.Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.Quality ManagementEnsure adherence to all gear quality parameters (runout, backlash, noise level, profile & lead).Coordinate with the QA team for customer approvals and audits.Minimize rejections, rework, and customer complaints.MaintenanceOversee preventive & breakdown maintenance of CNC, hobbing, grinding, heat-treatment, and testing equipment.Ensure zero downtime and smooth machine performance.Planning & InventoryManage raw material planning, WIP, finished goods, and dispatch schedules.Coordinate with Supply Chain, Purchase, and Sales teams.Team ManagementLead supervisors, engineers, operators, and support teams.Plan skill development & training for staff.Cost & EfficiencyControl production cost, reduce wastage, and improve overall operational efficiency.Implement productivity improvement projects

.3. Required Qualifications & SkillsStrong knowledge of CNC machines, Hobbing, Shaving, Grinding, Heat Treatment.Experience in plant operations, manpower handling, and customer audits.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
