Job Description

Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jira Admin SME to design, configure, manage, and support Atlassian tools, primarily Jira Service Management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customizing Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, reports and Jira automations. They will also provide technical assistance and training, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize Jira setups and workflows. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams. Responsibilities:Jira Service Management: Design, configure, manage, and support Jira Service Management. Create and support custom Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports. Develop complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes. Coordinate with the primary Jira Administrator to plan, schedule, implement changes. Requirement Gathering and Optimization:Assist in gathering requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize Jira setups and workflows. Identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests and propose alternative solutions. Work with stakeholders to customize Jira workflows and ensure they align with business needs. Technical Support and Troubleshooting. Support, compile, and troubleshoot issues related to JIRA Service Management. Provide technical assistance in using Jira and other identified tools. Design and Implementation: Utilize design skills to define Jira workflows and related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects. Ensure Jira workflows and configurations are optimized for efficiency and user satisfaction. Continuously improve and refine Jira setups based on user feedback and best practices. Qualifications: Extensive experience in designing, configuring, managing, and supporting Jira Service Management tool. Proven experience in creating complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes. Strong understanding of custom Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports. Experience in gathering requirements for business processes and optimizing Jira setups and workflows. Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Jira and other Atlassian tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders and provide training. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with other Atlassian tools such as JIRA, JIRA Service Management. Knowledge of Jira automation, JQL and AQL (mandatory). Familiarity with ITSM (IT Service Management) practices and tools namely BMC Remedy, Service Now etc. Certifications in Jira Administration or other Atlassian tools.
