Finance domain - Creating P&L account, balance sheet ,Cash flow statement which needs deep Finance knowledge (and manufacturing is an operation just like Sales & Distribution and Procurement ) All operations impact the numbers -i.e. have a final effect on Finance Ledgers which effects the P&L. This is the skill set we require. Not a partial finance ( AP & AR only understanding or SD resource)..

• Understand JD Edwards source system architecture to identify correct tables, fields, business rules, and master data required for downstream reporting and transformation.


• Collaborate with data engineers to translate business requirements into target data models and mapping rules.


• Validate end-to-end data flow from JD Edwards to target platforms ensuring integrity and consistency.

• Deep knowledge of JD Edwards Finance, Sales & Distribution, Procurement, and Manufacturing modules.


• Role composition: 70% Functional / 30% Technical (table structure, mapping logic, business rule configuration, testing).

• Analyse and validate Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment to accounting standards.


• Perform financial variance analysis between actuals vs budget, identify cost drivers, and recommend corrective actions to improve business performance.

• Analyse how operational processes (inventory, procurement, manufacturing, and sales) impact financial ledgers.


• Conduct inventory optimisation, costing analysis, and reporting aligned with business goals.


• Provide insights on operational KPIs and their financial implications.

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Data, and Business leadership teams to align financial strategies with operational goals.


• Translate technical and financial insights into clear, actionable communication for non-financial stakeholders.


• Proactively drive discussions on data accuracy, financial impact, business rule consistency, and process improvements.

• 10+ years of hands-on JD Edwards experience across Finance and Operational modules.


• Strong understanding of ERP data flows, financial controls, and audit/compliance principles.


• Proven capability in leading data-driven transformation, mapping logic definition, and system integration.

Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions with clarity and confidence

Techno Functional resource who understands the Business requirements like P&L Account and can map the required Table and fields required to create a P&L Account outside JDE system. As we need all this information to create the same Profit and Loss account in Data lake similarly other financial statements.

We as functional experts have to give all the Table /Field mapping /Joining logic of the transaction and Master tables to meet the Reporting requirements of the business. The person should be a Finance and Controlling expert with technical knowledge of JDE .
