Java Technical Screener

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Java Screener to assess candidates' Java programming skills and technical abilities for our software development team. The Technical Java Screener will conduct technical screenings, code reviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' proficiency in Java development, problem-solving, and software engineering concepts. The ideal candidate will have strong Java programming skills, knowledge of software development best practices, and experience in technical interviewing or screening processes.

We are looking for a Java Technical Screener with the following skills:

• Must be currently working as a Java Developer/Backend Developer for the last 5 years
• Conduct technical screenings and assessments for Java developer candidates to evaluate their programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of Java frameworks and libraries.
• Assess candidates' proficiency in core Java concepts such as object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, multithreading, exception handling, and I/O operations.
• Evaluate candidates' knowledge and experience with Java frameworks and technologies such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, Java EE, and RESTful APIs.
• Evaluate candidates' problem-solving skills through coding challenges, algorithmic exercises, and logical reasoning questions related to Java programming and software development concepts.
• Assess candidates' ability to optimize code, troubleshoot bugs, and implement efficient solutions to programming problems within time constraints.
• Conduct structured technical interviews, phone screens, or video interviews with candidates to assess technical competencies, coding style, and communication skills related to Java development.
• Provide constructive feedback, technical guidance, and recommendations based on candidates' performance in technical screenings and assessments.
• Document evaluation criteria, interview questions, coding assessments, and feedback notes for each candidate to maintain accurate records and support hiring decisions.
• Collaborate with hiring managers, technical leads, and recruitment teams to align technical screening processes with job requirements, team dynamics, and project needs.
• Stay updated with Java programming trends, software development practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies relevant to Java development.
• Participate in technical training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical interviewing skills, assessment techniques, and expertise in Java ecosystem tools and frameworks.

Must Have

• Open to Dedicate ⅔ hours per day IST Evening hours.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in Java programming, including Java SE and Java EE technologies.
• Experience in software development, software engineering best practices, and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Previous experience in technical interviewing, code reviews, or technical screening for Java developer roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Java frameworks and tools such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle, Git, and IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software architecture principles relevant to Java development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to assess technical skills objectively and provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple technical screenings concurrently, and collaborate effectively with hiring teams and technical stakeholders.
