.As a Java Fullstack Developer, you will take a central role in designing and building scalable, high-performance web applications. You will work across both backend and frontend technologies, leveraging Java, Spring, React, and modern web frameworks to create robust solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architecture and system design decisions. You will also work with cloud platforms and real-time messaging systems to ensure applications are reliable, performant, and aligned with business goals. This position is ideal for experienced professionals who thrive in a dynamic, remote-first environment and are passionate about fullstack development.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java, JSP, and the Spring framework
- Implement microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and backend services, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Build responsive frontend interfaces using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React
- Integrate frontend and backend systems efficiently using GraphQL and Node.js where applicable
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, particularly AWS, ensuring scalability and availability
- Utilize asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka for real-time data processing and pub-sub patterns
- Optimize application performance, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver features
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to strengthen team capabilities
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- 10+ years of professional experience in fullstack Java development with a proven track record
- Advanced expertise in Java, object-oriented programming, JSP, and the Spring framework (including Spring Boot and MVC)
- Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, JavaScript, and React
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with GraphQL and Node.js for backend integration
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), and deployment best practices is desirable
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, or other asynchronous messaging systems is a plus
- Leadership and mentoring experience with the ability to guide development teams
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
