Java Full Stack Developer [9+ Yrs Exp] | Freelancing | 100% WFH

*Key Responsibilities*- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and AWS- Contribute to the migration of Zephyr and Capture for Jira apps to Atlassian Forge- Work alongside other backend engineers to develop plugin-based extensions for Jira- Collaborate with QA, frontend, and operations teams to ensure integration stability- Participate in CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and occasionally Jenkins- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team*Tech Stack*- Backend: Java (Core requirement)- Cloud: AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.)- CI/CD: GitHub Actions (Jenkins for legacy support)- Tools: Atlassian Forge (preferred), Atlassian Connect (legacy)- Others: Jira, Zephyr, Capture for Jira- Frontend (optional/future): React (nice to have for later phases)*Must-Have Qualifications*- 5–9 years of backend development experience with Java- Strong AWS experience, including serverless and container-based services- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles- Strong grasp of modern software development practices- Ability to ramp up quickly on proprietary SDKs (e.g., Atlassian Forge/Connect)- Excellent communication and collaboration skills*Nice-to-Have Skills*- Prior experience developing Atlassian add-ons using Forge or Connect- Built extensions/plugins for platforms like Azure DevOps, Monday.com, etc.- Experience working with Jira APIs or add-on development*Team Structure*- The third role may work more independently on adjacent services- Engineering leadership and peer support are available for onboarding and mentoring
