Position Summary:

Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance through effective database schema design and query optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Apply design patterns and SOLID principles to ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Conduct thorough debugging, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing applications.
• Utilize Maven for project build and dependency management.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold application quality.
• Participate in code reviews, agile development ceremonies, and technical discussions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Java, with preference for Java 21.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Hibernate (latest version).
• Expertise in PostgreSQL (latest version), including query tuning and optimization.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
• Strong adherence to SOLID principles and clean coding standards.
• Experience with Maven for build automation.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Domain experience in travel industry workflows and user journeys will be considered an added advantage.
