What does a successful Java Architect do at Fiserv? You will be part of a team of seasoned professionals delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for Fiserv. You will have the opportunity to work on emerging technology trends such as Cloud, Containerization, Event-Driven Architecture, DevOps, and AI/ML. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade solutions tailored to business needs. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic solutions that drive business success and innovation. What you will do: Lead the design and development of Java-based enterprise applications. Architect and implement distributed, scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant systems using Microservices architecture. Build reusable platforms and frameworks for enterprise-wide adoption. Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams during development cycles. Conduct technical walkthroughs and design reviews with stakeholders. Define and track metrics and KPIs across the SDLC using industry tools to demonstrate performance and continuous improvement. Develop proof of concepts and design applications using best practices and modern standards. Champion and implement best practices, tools, and processes across teams. Work in Agile teams to deliver high-quality user stories on time. Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers on technology stacks and architectural principles. What you will need to have: 12+ years of strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies including Spring 6.0 and above, Spring Boot, Spring Microservices, Spring JPA, Spring WebFlux, and Hibernate. Proficiency in REST APIs, JSON, Swagger, XML, and Web Services. Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, and data streaming platforms. Strong foundation in cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Familiarity with DevOps and SCM tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, and Azure DevOps. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, ELK, Splunk, Moogsoft, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor. Agile development experience and strong collaboration skills. A passion for engineering excellence and a mindset for continuous learning and experimentation. What would be great to have: Experience working on front end technologies – Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML etc. Knowledge on Python. Knowledge of Machine Learning & AI.
